Working With Others - Education resources

A life threatening illness affects the body, mind, spirit, social well-being, the family of the patient and the care team. Hospice education strives to improve skills, knowledge and attitudes in all these areas.

St Clare Hospice provides a number of educational activities designed to meet the needs of our colleagues in the NHS, Nursing Homes, Community Teams and acute care settings. In addition to Hospice-based education, staff can provide courses and study days at the care providers' own premises.

Among our recent educational events are the Palliative Medicine updates, Nursing Home training and Carers' Scheme training.The Hospice is committed to our continuing links with universities, nursing and medical training programmes. Our Hospice staff contribute to local and national conferences.

In addition to providing professional courses and study days for all disciplines, we also lease our facilities for use by outside agencies and organisations.
